Avenida de Mayo (In Progress)

Oil on Canvas, 20" x 14"

Started January, 2006. 1.5 hours.

A view of the Avenida de Mayo, near the Plaza de Mayo, the heart of Buenos Aires. This painting is about two hundred meters from the Casa Rosada, the Argentine presidential palace, which is off to the left. The Avenida de Mayo is the preferred route for parades and demonstrations through the capital; marchers assemble along here before crossing through the Plaza, where there is often a reviewing stand or stage set up to greet them. This building is either a museum or a school, depending on which of its neighbors it's connected to internally.
